This charming apartment lies in the countryside enjoying the
most marvellous views of the undulating landscape and the towers
of the city of San Gimignano only 3km away. It is a lovely
location for enjoying country walks and relaxing. Within a short
drive in different directions, are the Castelfalfi country club
with its superb golf course and tennis courts, the town of
Certaldo with its interesting medieval quarter and Poggibonsi
with its many shops and entrance to the Florence/Siena motorway.
Whilst just down the road is San Gimignano with its historic
treasures, shops, supermarket and many restaurants and cafés.
The house of Villuzza has been divided into three apartments, Il
Pozzo, Il Focolare and an apartment used for weekends and
holidays by the owners who live near Florence. They are friendly
and helpful whilst not intruding on your privacy. Il Focolare
and Il Pozzo are both on the first floor of the house and enjoy
beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. In the garden
each apartment has its own private terrace furnished with table
and chairs for eating outside, barbecue and sun umbrella. Next
to the garden and enjoying a spectacular panorama is the
splendid new swimming pool (12m x 5m) which is furnished with
sunbeds and sun umbrellas. Parking is close to the apartments in
the grounds of Villuzza.
Il Focolare which has its entrance by outside staircase
finishing in a private balcony is on the first floor of the
house and has very spacious rooms with all its windows enjoying
beautiful views of the countryside. It is furnished to a high
standard in traditional style to offer very comfortable
accommodation. The living room has a "focolare" a large
traditional wood burning fireplace and both a door and french
windows opening on the private balcony. The balcony which is
furnished with table and chairs looks down on to the apartment's
private terrace and garden area. This very large terrace, which
enjoys lovely views of the countryside, has table and chairs for
eating outside as well as a barbecue, sun umbrellas and sunbeds. |
